About Our Founders

Founder and CEO Paul Schreiber started Latico Leathers fresh out of college in 1984. He began selling leather goods out of his trunk in NYC, and soon enough, specialty boutiques in Greenwich Village couldn't keep his merchandise in stock. Bands like the Grateful Dead eventually became fans of his genuine leather bags, and Latico grew into its identity as a leather goods company with a rock and roll twist.

Paul met his wife Lainie — an uptown girl with a New York fashion background — and the two launched a celebrated women’s line. The unique artisan linings, unexpected leather treatments, and extensive interior organization created during that time would come to define Latico’s signature style.

    Perfect size for on-the-go

    Love the size! Not too big, not too small. Holds all my essentials with room to spare. The middle, magnetic section is convenient for slipping my cell in/out….and feel safe with it because the magnetic flap lays over top. (I have iPhone 11 & it fits comfortably) Inside pockets are added convenience and the shoulder/crossbody strap adjusts easily. Impeccable quality. My go-to girl! Love her (color I have is denim)

    Fabulous Little Crossbody!!

    I think it’s the perfect size for essentials (cellphone, some credit cards, keys, a pair of lipglosses and maybe sunglasses or a little coin pouch. The leather is super soft, the color is very nice (bought cognac) and the interior lining is also nice and well constructed in general.

    The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, was because based on the dimensions of the product in the specs, I thought I would be able to fit my iPhone 14 Pro Max with its´ slim OtterBox case on, in the middle magnetic compartment, which you can see in the video I attached it didn’t fit, but fortunately it did in the lateral zippered pockets.

    I would suggest maybe adding additional measurements in the specs of the product, like the middle magnetic compartment having an available space of 7 1/2” long by 2 1/2” tall and aprox. 1/2” wide tu put a smaller cellphone or something else inside, as I also tried putting an iPhone SE with its OtterBox Defender Case on and it did fit, but the magnets would not close (see photos attached, the last photo shows how the bag closes without the iPhone SE inside).

    Definitely will buy again; in fact, I already did!! Now I’m just waiting my second order to arrive. =)

    So Soft in Lemon

    My favorite part of this purse is the very long adjustable strap. I love to wear it around my shoulders and very low on the hip. This holds my Samsung Galaxy, Tissue, Chapstick, keys, lotion. It is so lightweight that I can't feel that I am wearing it. Good organization. It even holds a tiny notepad and pens.
